Connect ChatGPT

Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT, add ProTransfers from the plugins page, approve it on ProTransfers, and ask ChatGPT about your orders and artwork.

Add ProTransfers to ChatGPT from its plugins page, approve it on the ProTransfers page that opens, and ChatGPT can answer questions about your orders and artwork. Allow about five minutes rather than two: ChatGPT asks you to turn on Developer mode first. It reads with your permission and never orders, pays or approves.

Steps checked October 2026.

Official plugins coming soon. Use it today by adding the address below.

Before you start

  • A ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education plan. Developer mode, which custom connectors need, is available on those plans.
  • Do this on the web at chatgpt.com. Developer mode is web only.
  • On a Business plan, only a workspace admin can turn on Developer mode. If the switch is not there, ask your admin.
  • Your ProTransfers sign-in. You approve the connection signed in as yourself, and the account you sign in with is the one ChatGPT will see.

Add the connector

You will paste this address:

MCP server address
https://mcp.protransfers.com/mcp

Leave any “client ID” or “secret” field blank. Your assistant registers itself, then sends you to ProTransfers to sign in and approve.

Turn on Developer mode

  1. Open Settings, then Security and login.
  2. Turn on Developer mode.

Create the ProTransfers plugin

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and click the plus button.
  2. Give it a name — ProTransfers — and a short description, such as "My ProTransfers orders and artwork".
  3. Under Connection, paste the address. Leave any client ID or secret fields blank.
  4. Create it.

Add it to a chat

  1. Start a new chat.
  2. Open the tools menu and add ProTransfers.

Sign in and approve

ChatGPT opens a ProTransfers page to approve the connection. If you are not already signed in, sign in first. The page shows:

  • the heading Connect followed by the name ChatGPT registered under, and the line that it is asking to:
  • View your orders — Order status, items, totals and tracking for orders on this account.
  • View your artwork and its print assessment — Artwork saved to this account, and what our analysis found about how it will print at a given size.
  • a line beginning You'll be sent back to, naming where you will land after you approve, and the account you are granting access to — click Not you? if that is the wrong account
  • the buttons Deny and Allow
  • the footnote You can disconnect ChatGPT at any time from your account settings.

Click Allow. You are sent back to ChatGPT, and the connector is ready to use.

Try it

In a chat with ProTransfers added from the tools menu, ask:

  • "What was my last order?" — ChatGPT reports the order number, status, items and the estimated ship and delivery dates, plus the tracking number once there is one.
  • "Will my newest file print well at 12 inches?" — ChatGPT reads the print assessment for that file at that width and tells you how it rates, and what would raise it.

More prompts, and what each one returns, are in What you can ask.

What ChatGPT shows differently

ChatGPT does not yet display pictures that a connector sends back. When you ask to see a design you ordered, ChatGPT shows a small image icon and a link to the preview instead of the picture itself. Click the link to open the preview in your browser. Claude shows the picture inline. Everything else — orders, tracking, the print check — reads the same in both.

Disconnect

  • In ChatGPT: go back to chatgpt.com/plugins and remove ProTransfers there.
  • On ProTransfers: open Account → Security → Connected apps and click Disconnect next to ChatGPT.

Removing it in ChatGPT stops ChatGPT using it. Disconnecting on ProTransfers withdraws the approval itself, so do that one if you want to be certain, and do both to remove it entirely. Your orders and account are not affected, and you can connect again at any time.

If something's wrong

If ChatGPT says ProTransfers is blocked by a firewall or a security service, it is not. That message means the connection was approved before a newer permission existed. Open Account → Security → Connected apps, click Disconnect next to ChatGPT, then add the connector again in ChatGPT. Removing it inside ChatGPT alone does not reset the approval. Other problems — no orders, only some orders, artwork still being analysed — are covered in Troubleshooting.
