Cookie Policy for ProTransfers.com
Introduction
At ProTransfers, we value your privacy and believe in being transparent about how we use cookies on our website. This Cookie Policy explains the types of cookies we use and why some cookies are essential for providing you with a secure and personalized experience.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, making it easier to interact with the site and improving your overall experience.
What we use, and who receives it
The table below is generated from the same registry the site uses to decide what may load. It cannot describe a cookie we do not set, or omit one we do — if something is not listed here, the site does not load it.
Strictly necessary— always on, cannot be switched off
Needed for the site to work at all — signing you in, keeping your cart, and taking payment securely. These cannot be switched off, and we never use them to build a profile of you.
| What it is | Who processes it | Where | Stored as | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in session Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and signs you out when the session ends. | ProTransfers (AWS Cognito) | United States | CognitoIdentityServiceProvider.* | Session to 30 days |
Payment Processes card payments and screens them for fraud. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe and are never visible to us. | Stripe | United States, with EU processing for EU customers | __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | 30 minutes to 1 year |
Your cookie choice Remembers what you chose on this banner, so we do not ask again and so your choice is honoured on every visit. | ProTransfers | Stored on your device only — never sent to us | ptg2.cookie-consent (local storage) | Until you clear it |
Support and preferences
Lets you open a support conversation with us and remembers small preferences, like a panel you collapsed. Declining does not stop you contacting us — the help button still works, we just do not load the chat tool until you use it.
| What it is | Who processes it | Where | Stored as | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Help and support chat Runs the help widget so you can start a conversation with our support team and see our replies. | Freshworks (Freshdesk) | United States | __fw_*, fw_crm_v | Session to 1 year |
Usage analytics
Tells us which pages are slow, confusing or broken, so we can fix them. We do not sell this, we do not use it for advertising, and it is never shared with anyone outside the people building this site.
| What it is | Who processes it | Where | Stored as | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Product analytics Counts page views and key steps (uploading artwork, reaching checkout) so we can see where the site gets in your way. | PostHog | United States | ph_*_posthog | 1 year |
Session replay
Records a replay of how pages were navigated — clicks, scrolling and the visual flow — so we can see exactly what went wrong when something does. What you type is masked and never recorded, and card details are entered directly into our payment provider, so they are never part of a replay.
| What it is | Who processes it | Where | Stored as | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Session replay Reconstructs a visit visually when we are investigating a fault. Inputs are masked. | PostHog | United States | ph_*_posthog (shared with analytics) | 1 year |
Your choices
When you first visit we ask, and nothing optional runs until you answer. You can:
- Accept all or Reject all in one click — both are offered together, at the same level. Refusing is never more work than accepting.
- Choose what to allow, turning each category on or off independently. You can allow us to count page views without allowing session replay, for example.
- Change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Changes take effect immediately — no reload, no need to sign in again.
Declining does not limit what you can do here. You can browse, upload artwork, place orders and contact support exactly as before; we simply do not measure the visit.
Your Privacy Matters
We want to be clear: we do not sell your data. The information collected through cookies is used solely to enhance your experience on our site and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Where your data goes
The "Where" column above names the country each processor handles data in. Several are in the United States. If you are visiting from the UK or the EEA, that means an international transfer, which we make on the basis of the processor's own standard contractual clauses. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Managing Your Cookies
The Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page re-opens your choices. You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in or checking out.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page, and we'll always strive to keep you informed.
Contact Us
If you have any questions about our Cookie Policy or how we use cookies, email support@protransfers.com or use the help button on any page. The help button is available whatever you choose here — asking for help never depends on accepting analytics.
If you have an account, your privacy settings show the same choices alongside what we hold about you and how to ask for a copy or deletion.
